1h40 on December 26, the man who suffered an occupational accident in Song Tu Tay Island was taken to the 175th Military Medical Hospital (HCMC) for treatment.
43-year-old patient in Nam Dinh province, suffered a labor injury in thigh. He was taken to the clinic of Truong Sa town for emergency. Medical doctors here have consulted online via Telemedicine system with doctors at Military Hospital 175 at the mainland.
Doctor, Colonel Tran Le Dong, Deputy Director of 175 Military Medical Hospital, said that a consultation to determine the injured patient caused a stroke, blocked the right femoral artery and stamped the thigh muscle. The patient underwent surgery to check for injury, treating the blocked arterial area.
Surgical knots noted that patients with vascular lesions were very complicated, unable to recirculate blood vessels. Military Medical Hospital 175 decided to arrange air rescue team to the island. The patient received blood transfusions, anticoagulant and resuscitation during the inland transport by helicopter.
Doctors re-arterial arteries must be by a catheter, blood clot, arterial graft by artificial vessels. The patient was cut to remove necrosis of the thigh muscle.
After surgery, the patient is resuscitated, the health condition is progressing well.
